Runge secures SAP certification
Runge, an Australian company providing mining software and consulting services globally, today announced its Mining Dynamics solution has received an industry first - SAP certification. This follows Runge joining the SAP Industry Value Network (IVN) for mining, in May this year, which was started by SAP to address priority mining industry needs and business challenges.

The certification marks the successful integration of Runge's and SAP's business processes on strategic integration platform with service oriented architecture (SOA). This will provide the mining industry with a standard, fully integrated solution for endto- end business processes from the mine, to the end customer.

Tony Kinnane, CEO of Runge, said:

"Runge and SAP are committed to driving community-based innovation and collaboration, and our solution will now be available to the broader IVN community. The group identified scheduling and compliance as areas that needed to be addressed to provide business value for global mining organisations. We now have a solution that, for the first time ever, enables adaptive mining scheduling processes."

The industry value network for mining includes leading industry customers represented in the Industry Advisory Council for Mining, such as BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto, Anglo American, Exxaro and Goldcorp, as well as key, innovative partners - Citect, Gijima AST,Meridium, OSIsoft, and Technidata.

The IVN members will be working on new composite solutions and integration scenarios in the areas of mining operations management (for mine planning and scheduling, metallurgical reconciliation and metal accounting), enterprise asset management (for reliable maintenance optimisation, delay accounting and performance optimisation), as well as operational compliance (for emissions management, and health and safety management).

Runge's Mining Dynamics delivers a visual system to support data management and discovery across the entire production chain; from geology, modeling and design, through scheduling and reconciliation. The solution provides information control, access, legislative compliance and enterprise systems integration. Operations, technical, and corporate employees have instant access to information about mine site operations. The system is vendor independent and works with mining companies' existing systems avoiding the need for costly replacement software.
